Artius Man Beard Wash Review – Classic Gentleman Sandalwood Scent

When it comes to their beard wash, Artius man doesn’t disappoint. It’s important to remember before we start this review, that you only really need to wash your beard once or twice a week. Sure if you eat like a two year old, or work in a dirty environment, you’ll wash more often. Let’s get on with it shall we?

Quality:

There’s so many things I want to talk about here. As you know I’m all about all natural products. If I can find a beard product that is all natural, fragrance free that checks all the boxes, I feel like I’ve found a unicorn. – This comes close.

Most beard washes will do what they’re supposed to – Clean the gunk out of your beard, and strip the oils. Artius Man beard wash does that, but it also manages to provide enough replenishment that when you come out of the shower, your beard feels soft.
I feel like beard oil treatment isn’t necessary immediately after using this beard wash. – no small feat!

Lather – Most all natural beard washes won’t give you much of a lather, making you feel like you should be using a lot more just to get the lather you want. – This Beard wash provides plenty of lather. A small dab is enough. I have yet to find a beard wash that lives up to Artius Man’s Quality. For this reason:
Rating: 3/3

Scent:

A good scent is really important to me, I’m usually a little harder on products in this segment. Artius man, if you’re reading this I want you to know I love you, and I’m sorry!
There are quite a few more appealing sandalwood scents out there compared to this one.

The Ingredients:
*Coconut Oil, Potassium Hydroxide, Olive Oil, *Glycerin, *Sunflower Oil, Guar Gum, Aloe Vera Juice Extract, *Rosemary Extract, *Shea Butter, Citric Acid & essential oils. *Organic Ingredients.

The scent is not terrible by any means. Really the scent is just okay. It’s not unappealing, but it also doesn’t stand out as a pleasant, or an over the top must have. For this reason:
Rating: 2/4

Price – bang for your buck:

You get what you pay for. This is a premium beard wash that will last you a long time. My first 1oz bottle lasted me several months. All you need is a small dab for a nice lather a couple times a week and you’re set.

Check out my post on how often you should wash your beard HERE for a good explanation. It’s not cut and dry, you know me – I’m wordy.

So what’s the price? 1oz (30mL) is $7.95, 4oz (120mL) is $21.95. You’re going to want to try out the many scents Artius man has if I’m being honest, I wouldn’t purchase a bottle larger than 1oz, instead I would consider purchasing multiple scents at $7.95 a pop. I tend to purchase in bulk from Artius man because their shipping regardless of how much you buy is $15.00 as long as they can fit it into their standard sized box. This is great if you’re familiar with their products, or you’re willing to take my word for it. However, if you’re the “I’ll see for myself type” a single $7.95 bottle very quickly becomes $22.95. I really do think their products are worth paying the shipping, but it does feel a bit steep. For that reason:
Rating 2.5/3

Overall: 7.5/10

Don’t let this rating fool you. I’ve handed out 6/10 ratings on products that I would purchase time and time again. I really want to equip you with a good understanding of what you’re getting in Quality, Scent, and Price for all the products I review. At the end of the day I still consider Artius Man one of my top choices for daily use.
